WELCOME TO MONUMENT HEIGHTS BAPTIST CHURCH

We are a fellowship of Christian believers who strive to glorify God in words, thoughts, and actions. We are dually aligned with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Southern Baptist Convention and also affiliated with the Baptist General Association of Virginia and the Richmond Baptist Association. As Baptists, we believe in the priesthood of the believer and maintain the independence of our congregation from outside organizations and governing bodies while partnering with others to accomplish our goal of reaching out into our community and world.

HOW TO JOIN

Our church welcomes people of all ethnic backgrounds and ages to participate in our activities. Becoming a member of our congregation, however, is an important commitment. We require an individual to accept and confess Jesus Christ as his or her personal Savior and Lord in order to join our fellowship. Prospective new members must present themselves at the conclusion of a worship service in one of the following ways:

 v As a candidate for baptism. We baptize by immersion.

 v By transfer of letter from another Baptist church. We will ask your previous church to send us a   

        letter indicating that you are a member in good standing in another church of like faith and order. Your

        membership with that church will then transfer to Monument Heights.

 v By statement of your faith. Upon statement of your Christian experience in a church that is no longer in existence 

        or not Baptist, we will welcome you and baptize you by immersion if you have not previously been immersed.
